Naveen -- my perception of medical devices (I wear one for continuous glucose monitoring) is they seem to have evolved from an imbedded system mindset. Is my statement accurate or just a misplaced perception? If this is not clear, please let me know.
Hi Mark - can you clarify your question? I think in some cases a systems approach may be found, but in general there is a strong focus on the device functionality itself whether it is a stand alone device or part of a system such as a CGM. Interoperability is fast becoming an important feature of devices so I am thinking a systems approach to design may become more common.
